about me

Hello! I'm Emma, but I go by the nickname "Tay" online!

I'm a 31 year old mother of four, wife to the most amazing and supportive husband, and a mostly self-taught artist. I am a Tridentine Catholic, I live in the USA, and I do freelance art and design in my spare time.

I value quiet, privacy and peace, I absolutely love autumn, thunderstorms, and plants. My favorite animals are whales, foxes, dogs and dinosaurs. My favorite colors are natural greens, oranges and brown.

Thank you for checking out my website, and God Bless!

artist statement

My inspiration grows from the earth, in leaves and moss and storms and roots. The crumbling cracks that slowly reach across abandoned places, creating something even more beautiful than before. As a child, I buried myself in fantastic worlds, intensely inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's stunning Ghibli films, and the incredible worlds created by C.S.Lewis and Christopher Paolini. These masterpieces, paired with the natural beauty of the fields and woodlands surrounding our family farm, is what inspired me most.

I am currently involved in a open world collaborative community for artists called Those Who Went Missing, and have had the honor of acting as a Guest Artist for this organization twice. I operate there both as a member, and a volunteer occasionally, and am grateful for its support as a community for artists for feedback and friendship. Much of my recent work has been inspired and involved with this community.

I currently work at my own discretion as a freelance artist, designer, web-designer and writer. I am grateful for all my wonderful clients who support me and my work, by making it possible for me to earn within the field I love.

I love to draw and write. There is a fantastic feeling when designing something new, a quiet type of adventurous joy that bubbles over and wishes to be shared. I'm grateful for everyone I've come in contact with throughout my journey as an artist, and the ability to share my ideas with anyone who cares to look is a wonderful blessing.

Thank you for your interest in my work!
